A Month of Meditation

Day 31: I did it. A whole month! I’ve never meditated for an entire month. I’ve tried, I can’t even tell you how many times: in law school, while in yoga teacher training, after taking meditation courses, in college, you name it. I’ve never been able to be consistent for an entire 30 days before now.

So what’s different? So many things. I want to explore what’s different in a series of posts, but for now I’ll say this:

I’m older. Not by that much but apparently by enough. There is wisdom that comes with years. Skills that the years give. I have an ability to keep doubt at bay that I didn’t have before.

Don’t let doubt consume you. It will always be lurking in corners. Always. Let it come. Let it go. Just don’t invite it for tea. Meditate on this. Remind yourself.

Also this, in a similar vein: you don’t have to believe your thoughts. 👈🏼 Hallelujah.

334 days to go babies.
